The much-awaited The Diplomat trailer is out. Starring John Abraham in the lead role99bet, the actor is seen playing the character of an Indian diplomat who is on a mission in bringing India’s daughter back home.

The 2 minute 48-second video starts with a Muslim woman entering the Indian embassy in Pakistan. She claims to be an Indian national and her says that her marriage is forceful. Initially John doesn't believe her but after investigation, he believes her and leaves no stone unturned to get her back in India.

Pakistan, on the other hand, are behind India in second place, with eight points to their name, and also beat hosts China 5-1 in their most recent fixture. 

After losing to India 8-1 in their last encounter, Malaysia were desperate for a win, and showed immense character to fight it out against Japan after they were a goal down after the first half.

The trailer shows how as a diplomat, John handles the situation tactfully and with negotiation. It shows intellect, wit and resilience are the ultimate weapons for a diplomat and not wars to handle a situation like this.

Based on a true story, John Abraham plays the real-life Indian diplomat J.P. Singh, who embarks the risky mission to rescue the ‘Daughter of India’.

The Diplomat trailer is a tribute to the late Sushma Swaraj and her efforts in 2017 to bring an Indian woman back home. The trailer is released today on her birth anniversary.

The film also stars Sharib Hashmi, Revathy99bet, Kumud Mishra and Sadia Khateeb. The Diplomat is produced by T-Series' Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar, John Abraham of JA Entertainment, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl of Wakaoo Films, Sameer Dixit and Jatish Varma of Fortune Pictures, and Rakesh Dang of Seeta Films. Directed by Shivam Nair, the political thriller is releasing in theatres on March 7, 2025.
